Matthew 11:25 "At that time Jesus answered and said, “I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, thatYou have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and have revealed them to babes."
The knowledge of God's mercy and saving grace are made manifest in life, ministry, death, and resurrection of Jesus the Son of God. In order to understand the precious gift that has been given, one need not be a genius. In fact the gift of God through Jesus Christ has been a stumbling block for many extremely intelligent people, in addition to people who see themselves that way. To understand the gift of God one just needs to be humble as a child. Children hang on the words of their mothers and fathers. They have faith in their parents that their words are true and that they have their best interests at heart. Somewhere during the growth and maturation process we begin to ask probing questions for greater clarification and understanding. Sometimes our questions are well placed and at other times they just plain lack trust. When it comes to God, He wants us to ask Him for answers, but He also wants us to trust those answers to be what is best for us, someone, or whatever situation we are asking about. The Lord always answers prayers. However, the answers are not always what we want to hear. The main point here is that in order to understand God's will for your life you need to immerse yourself in the study of His word, practice humility, allow the Holy Spirit to lead you, and if you don't have the Holy Spirit living inside you, then accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior and He will guide you the rest of the way. May the Lord bless you and keep you.
